     Prayer is Key! Prayer is key to getting the Spirit moving among us. Prayer has power to do several things. It can drain the negative emotions out of our lives; things like fear, suspicion, distrust, hate, resentment, insecurity and self pity.

       In place of those emotions through prayer Jesus will place positive emotions like; love, courage, hope, good humor, cheer, optimism, enthusiasm and confidence in Christ Jesus. These are the kinds of emotions with which we want to build up our church and help it to grow and thrive. That is why we will soon begin to hold Praise and Prayer evenings on Thursday nights. We will begin our weekly time for Praise and Prayer on March 27th. We will have just celebrated the Resurrection of our Savior and we can thus begin celebrating the resurrection of our own spiritual lives as well. It is my hope and prayer, that many of you will come join me and others for this essential part of our ministry. We’re not asking you to do anything but to come, praise and pray. Watch what God will begin to do in and through us as we praise Him and pray! It’s about one of the best things you can do for the future of St. Matthew Lutheran Church and School.

       Just as things come to life in the springtime; let us also spring into a life of Praise and Prayer. May God bless you and keep you in His Grace and Peace.
