Here’s something to think about. God gives abundantly, but conditionally. Our Lord gives in such a way that the person receiving is stimulated and not merely smothered. He doesn’t just make a gift, but He makes a person!

Abundant living does not come from just constantly receiving. Abundant living depends on upon a person’s abundant giving! Everyone should receive according to need, but everyone must also learn to give according to his or her ability. The human being is a sprinkler head.

By itself, the sprinkler head is not worth very much, but attach it to a hose, let the water flow through and the sprinkler head makes flowers grow, turns grass green and creates parks that people can enjoy!

Your life in Christ Jesus, in God’s plan, is to be a sprinkler head for the Lord. Jesus said, Out of you shall flow rivers of living water! All things given to us by society and culture are empty promises. The only real purpose that can satisfy… JESUS CHRIST!

So as you turn on the sprinkler heads this summer, let’s remember that we are helping the Kingdom of God to grow with our giving and how it will grow when we give from the abundance with which God has supplied. Have a great, safe summer. And let’s get flowing for our Lord!
