September
Since the Lord clearly led me to stay here as St. Matthew’s Pastor, I look forward to continuing His work. On September 13, we will be celebrating Home Coming worship.
We welcome back all of our Sunday school children and their families, our school children and their families, those who attend every week and we are praying many who have not been here for a while. It’s never too late to come home. Our worship will be uplifting and we will invite all to stay and enjoy lunch and some great fellowship. We will present music that all can participate in singing. Should be a lot of fun! Hope you will be on hand for that day.

Tuesday morning Bible study will resume on September 8th at 10:30 am; we will begin a series entitled, THAT WE MAY GROW. The first in the series is THAT WE MAY GROW… in Christian Faith. Those who can join us bring a friend or a neighbor.

Wednesday evening Bible study will resume on September 9th at 7:00 pm;
We will be looking at Islam as a topic. Please plan on attending and again bring a friend or neighbor.
During the course of this Bible study I am looking into inviting a local dentist, who is Islamic to share, or to have the Imam (their clergy) share, facts about their faith with us. He and his family are beautiful people and I have met them and discussed this possibility with them. This would probably take place sometime in mid to late September. Since Albany is a multi-faith community, this could bring opportunities to interface with our neighbors better.

Please also remember that each Thursday evening people gather in church to pray & to praise God @ 6:15 pm. Prayer is an extremely important component to our congregation’s growth. Come join others to pray as we seek God’s will and bring requests to His throne. As always bring a friend or neighbor to pray!
I am open to thoughts that God is giving you; that we should be doing. So share ideas with me and we’ll get started doing things to help our church to grow!
